There are always blank spaces in urban city. Which means, there are certain places that aren’t identified on the city map. Philippe Vasset, in his book «The white book», explores this space through his works. He wonders what we can do with these spaces, he asks him if these places are natural spaces which must preserved or if they are the abandoned spaces.
My project of urban scenography began with my own interrogation after having read this theory.
The objective of this project is the revitalisation of an ephemeral place in the city of Dijon. In my composition of work, I wanted to find a way to transform this empty and abandoned space and create something aesthetically satisfying.
The place where I worked, is the road called “l’île of Dijon” located near the river Ouche. For this work, I imagined the pier that existed at the end of 18th at this place. It was eliminated because of several inundations. I wanted to reestablish this pier with a reinforcement of its function.
So, on the one hand, I wanted to highlight the construction of this pier so that we can notice directly the water level when we enter this place. In the other hand, I wanted to apply a light-system for the night and that designed sticks installed as the scenography, to complete the whole installation harmoniously.

J’ai été Inspirée par Philippe Vasset, de son livre «Un livre blanc». Il s’interroge sur la fonction qui pourrait être donné a ces «non-lieux».
Sont-ils des espaces laissés volontairement vierges dans un objectif de la protection de la nature ou sont-ils des espaces à l’abandon tout simplement ?
Je suis partie du principe qu’il fallait absolument trouver un moyen cohérent de trans- former ces lieux abandonnés pour leur redonner vies. Ces nouveaux espaces devront être utiles et esthétiques.
L’endroit où j’ai travaillé, est la rue de l’île à Dijon située près de la rivière Ouche. Pour ce travail, j’ai imaginé une jetée qui a existé à la fin de 18ème à cet endroit. En raison de plusieurs inondations , Elle a été éliminé. J’ai voulu rétablir cette jetée avec un ren- forcement de sa fonction.
Ainsi, j’ai voulu mettre en valeur l’esthétique structurelle même de la jetée Flottante afin de pouvoir remarquer directement le niveau de l’eau, dès que nous entrons dans cet espace.
